Sultana Scones

Approximately make 16-18

Ingredients: 
800g self raising flour
180g caster sugar 
200g salted butter – chopped into small cubes 
2 tsp baking powder 
400ml milk
100g Supreme Green Sultanas
1 tsp salt 
1 egg- whisked 
Clotted cream 
Jam 

Method: 
Preheat the oven to 200°c. Add flour to a large mixing bowl, add butter and then rub in with your fingers until you have fine crumbs. Stir in sugar and sultanas. Then pour in milk and whisked egg to the mixture and stir everything together. Bring the mixture together with your hands until you have formed a stiff dough. Dust surface and rolling pin with flour and gently roll out the dough until it is 2cm thick. Cut out shapes using a 5cm round biscuit cutters. Place the scones on a baking tray, brush them with milk and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Leave them on a cooling rack for 5 minutes then serve with clotted cream and jam.
