Sweet Bhajia



1 cup self raising flour
½ cup sugar
2 tsp Supreme Fennel Seeds
½ cup milk
1 egg
Oil to deep fry
Icing sugar to dust


In a mixing bowl add, self raising flour, sugar and fennel seeds, and mix well. In another whisk together milk and egg. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well until fully combined. Let the batter rest. In the meantime heat enough oil to deep fry over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, gently add teaspoon full of the batter into the oil (remember not to overcrowd the pan). Using a slotted spoon turn and fry until golden all over. Remove and drain on kitchen paper. Repeat the same with remaining batter. Dust with icing sugar and serve warm or cold.
