Salted Peanut & Chocolate Bars



400g Supreme Blanched Peanuts
¼ cup water
1 tsp salt
300g good quality dark chocolate, broken into smaller pieces
100g butter
3 tbsp honey


Preheat the oven at 180°c. In a bowl dissolve the salt into the water. Add peanuts, mix well and set aside for 10 minutes. Line a large baking tray with greaseproof paper, then lay the peanuts in an even layer. Place in the oven checking every 5 minutes and stir to prevent burning. Remove peanuts when they’ve evenly browned (after about 20 minutes). Then set aside to cool. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper. Add chocolate, butter & honey into a microwavable bowl and melt in the microwave (in short intervals) or in a bain-marie until smooth. Pour peanuts into the melted chocolate. Stir the peanuts, making sure they’re covered well with chocolate. Tip the stirred mixture into the lined baking tray. Smooth out the top and set in the fridge for 2 hours. Once set, cut into slices or break into pieces and serve.
