1 cup Lubna Super Kernel Basmati Rice, washed with water
2 tsp Supreme Turmeric Powder
Pinch of salt

1 cup sugar
¾ water
2-3 2-inch Supreme Cinnamon Sticks
4 Supreme Cardamom Pods

¼ cup Supreme Almonds
¼ cup Supreme Pistachios
8-10 Supreme Dry Apricots


In a small saucepan add water almonds and pistachios and bring to a boil then drain and cool. Remove the skin from the almonds and pistachios, slice in half then set aside. Preheat oven to 160°c. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Stir in salt and turmeric the add rice cook until fully cooked. As the rice is cooking prepare the syrup: In another large ovenproof pot and sugar, water, cinnamon sticks and cardamom pods, and bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Once the rice is fully cooked, drain and add rice, ¾ of the nuts and 5-6 dry apricots to the syrup and gently mix well. Top rice with remaining nuts and dry apricots. Cover rice and steam n the oven for 30-40 mins. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
